Hi Samantha and PGAD readers,
I have a wonderful story to tell.... My name is Joyce and I am the mother of Jenna who is 14 yrs old. Jenna had recently competed in the Glamour Modeling Pageant in Tampa Florida. She was really excited to enter this pageant because it was judged by local talent and modeling scouts. This pageant was very different from the others Jenna has competed in. The girls had to model there casual attire and dressy attire (which was evening gown). Then the winner and runner ups were chosen. After the winners were announced then the talent competition was last. Jenna was dissappointed not to have placed in the queens court and had to still sing her best at the talent contest. So she got herself together and gave it her all. Well she actuallty won the talent contest and was really excited. The audience gave her a standing ovation. Later the director of the pageant approached us and told us she thought Jenna was very talented and had a beautiful voice. Then after that the judges wanted to speak to Jenna. We were so surprised. The 3 judges had given Jenna their business cards and said keep up the great singing. My daughter felt really great. About 2 weeks after the pageant we received a letter in the mail from one of the judges. His agency was looking for new models and new talent. So Jenna was invited to an interview with their company. There were 450 kids at that interview and we were told that only 15 children would be chosen. 5 of which would be teens and the other 10 younger kids. So Jenna gave it her best and hoped for the best. One week later we received another letter. In it was her acceptance to the agency. So now Jenna will be doing some modeling and hopefully a lot of singing. It's amazing how somethings just happen for the best. She didn't win that pageant or place but good things can still happen if you just give it your all. So good luck to all of the American Coed girls out there. And remember to just try your best. We can't win at everything but we can have fun along the way. God Bless, FlaPageantMom/Joyce
